Jayce Tingler, who completed his 13th season with the Texas Rangers organization this year, has been hired as manager of the San Diego Padres.
Jayce Tingler, who got the Padres job over Ron Washington, is widely respected for both his work ethic and game knowledge. Currently he’s managing winter ball in Escogido — and is 9-1. Being bilingual should be of big help for a Padres org loaded with international prospects.

I'm not annoyed that Jayce Tingler is the new Padres manager. Well maybe just a little. There's something else that's got me pissed off this morning. See if you agree with me. #PadresTwitter pic.twitter.com/gRxtva6XVh
