Myles Garrett is “not open to” signing a contract extension with the Browns after his trade request, a source told Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot.
The star pass-rusher requested to be dealt earlier this offseason, emphasizing his priority to compete for a Super Bowl ahead of an expected rebuild in Cleveland. The Browns finished 3-14 last season and hold the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Garrett has two years remaining on a five-year, $125-million extension he signed in 2020. He’s scheduled to be the fifth-highest-paid edge rusher entering the 2025 season with a $25-million salary, according to Spotrac.
