The Houston Texans are acquiring wide receiver Christian Kirk in exchange for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2026 seventh-round pick, The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reports.
The Jaguars reportedly planned on cutting Kirk prior to finding a trade partner.
Houston will take on the final year and the $16.5 million remaining on Kirk’s contract, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Kirk spent three seasons in Jacksonville after the franchise signed him to a four-year, $72-million contract in 2022. His best campaign came in his first year with the Jaguars when he set career highs in receptions (84), receiving yards (1,108), and touchdowns (eight).
