The Washington Commanders are re-signing tight end Zach Ertz to a one-year, $6.25-million deal ahead of free agency, sources told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
His contract can be worth up to $9 million with incentives, Pelissero adds.
Ertz signed a one-year deal with Washington last offseason and developed into a trustworthy target for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. The 34-year-old tight end ranked second in receptions (66), receiving yards (654), and touchdowns (7) among Commanders pass-catchers.
