The San Francisco 49ers are signing quarterback Mac Jones to a two-year, $7-million deal, a source told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The contract has a maximum value of $11.5 million with incentives, and $5 million guaranteed, Rapoport added.
Jones was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars last season after the New England Patriots selected him in the first round of the 2021 draft. San Francisco made an offer to the Patriots last offseason but couldn’t get a deal done, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
