Manchester City’s Erling Haaland became the first player to reach 100 Premier League goal involvements in fewer than 100 matches after opening the scoring with a penalty in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.
It was the striker’s 84th goal in his 94th appearance in England’s top flight. He’s also provided 16 assists since joining City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022.
Haaland reached three figures in goal involvements in six fewer matches than the previous record holder, Alan Shearer. Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and Manchester United icon Eric Cantona both required 116 Premier League games to log their 100th goal involvement.
