Cincinnati Reds Lead MLB in 2025 Opening Day Ticket Prices

Posted on March 28, 2025March 28, 2025 by Santiago Leon

Opening Day is one of the most anticipated events in Major League Baseball, and in 2024, no team drew more attention—or costlier tickets—than the Cincinnati Reds. According to data from TickPick, the cheapest ticket to see the Reds host the San Francisco Giants was a staggering $189, making it the most expensive Opening Day ticket in all of baseball.

This price point places the Reds well ahead of traditional big-market teams like the Los Angeles Dodgers ($138) and the St. Louis Cardinals ($123). Even marquee matchups like the Red Sox at Rangers ($122) and the Brewers at Yankees ($56) were significantly cheaper than the Reds’ home opener.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, the most affordable Opening Day ticket could be found in Toronto, where fans could catch the Orioles at Blue Jays for just $12. Other budget-friendly options included Pirates at Marlins ($17), Athletics at Mariners ($31), and Angels at White Sox ($33).

Here’s a quick look at the top and bottom of the list:

Top 3 Most Expensive Opening Day Tickets:

1. Giants at Reds – $189

2. Tigers at Dodgers – $138

3. Twins at Cardinals – $123

Bottom 3 Cheapest Opening Day Tickets:

1. Orioles at Blue Jays – $12

2. Pirates at Marlins – $17

3. Athletics at Mariners – $31

As baseball continues to grow in popularity and stadium experiences become more immersive, fans are paying a premium for Opening Day—especially in cities where excitement is peaking. In Cincinnati, the high price tag signals just how much anticipation is building for the Reds’ 2024 season.
