The San Francisco 49ers are unlikely to trade wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk before he’s due a $22.85-million roster bonus Tuesday, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Aiyuk is expected to be on the 49ers’ roster for the 2025 season once that bonus is paid, Schefter adds. San Francisco reportedly discussed potentially trading the wideout with multiple teams.
The 27-year-old signed a four-year, $120-million contract in August after months of tumultuous contract negotiations. He suffered a torn ACL just seven games into the 2024 season and finished with 25 catches for 374 yards and zero touchdowns.
