Atlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher recorded the most points in a single game by a rookie this season, scoring 38 in a 133-109 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday.
The No. 1 pick tallied 23 points in the first half. He shot 15-of-20 from the field and went 6-of-11 from three while adding four rebounds, two assists, and two steals in 35 minutes.
“I’m just happy to be someone that can make his mark in this league,” Risacher said, according to Lauren Williams of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “And I just feel like I’m grateful, and all this happened because I’m working really hard every day, but also because I couldn’t make – I couldn’t score 38 without my teammates.”
