Treysen Eaglestaff, a top-30 transfer from North Dakota, has decommitted from South Carolina’s men’s basketball program. Initially a major addition from the portal, Eaglestaff cited it was a “difficult decision” but the best move for his future. His departure reduces South Carolina’s transfer class to four: Christ Essandoko, Meechie Johnson, Kobe Knox, and Elijah Strong. Eaglestaff was expected to boost the team’s scoring, and with Collin Murray-Broyles also heading to the NBA, the Gamecocks now face increased urgency to find offensive reinforcements.
