San Antonio Spurs guard Stephon Castle was named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year during Tuesday’s playoffs broadcast on TNT.
Castle becomes the second straight Spur to take home the award after Victor Wembanyama earned the honor last season. The UConn product beat out Atlanta Hawks first overall pick Zaccharie Risacher and Memphis Grizzlies wing Jaylen Wells.
The 2024 fourth overall pick received 92 first-place votes, while Risacher got five, and Wells earned three.
