Scottie Scheffler dominated his way to an eight-stroke, wire-to-wire victory at his hometown CJ Cup Byron Nelson on Sunday for his first win of the season.
His score of 253 matched the record for the lowest 72-hole score in PGA TOUR history with Justin Thomas (2017 Sony Open) and Ludvig Aberg (2023 RSM Classic).
Scheffler could have established a new record, but he bogeyed No. 17 and recorded a par on the last hole to settle for a tie.
