The Houston Texans are signing wide receiver Jayden Higgins to the first fully guaranteed rookie contract for a second-round pick in NFL history, Higgins’ agent told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
Higgins was drafted No. 34 overall out of Iowa State. Last year’s 34th pick, Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey, had 91.9% of his deal guaranteed, per Pelissero.
Higgins was Houston’s top selection after the team traded out of the first round. He’ll earn approximately $11.7 million over the four-year pact.
