The Dallas Mavericks have earned a chance to grab consensus No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg with the first overall selection in the 2025 NBA Draft after winning Monday’s draft lottery.
The Mavericks originally had a 1.8% chance of earning the top pick.
The San Antonio Spurs will pick second, while the Philadelphia 76ers are slated to make the third selection.

After a tumultuous season, Dallas now has the chance to add a new top offensive option with Flagg. The Mavericks traded away five-time All-Star Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in February for a package including veteran center Anthony Davis. They finished the season 39-43, losing in the play-in tournament.
