Ticketmaster was forced to pause sales today for the NFL’s highly anticipated international games in London due to what the league described as “exceptionally high demand.” The NFL stated that the overwhelming interest appeared to be driven in large part by bots and resellers, prompting the halt in order to “ensure genuine fans are able to purchase tickets.”
Fans attempting to secure seats were met with frustration, with many reporting they were placed in an online queue behind more than 250,000 people.
The NFL’s 2025 London series features three marquee matchups:
- Minnesota Vikings vs. Cleveland Browns
- Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets
- Los Angeles Rams vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
These games will take place in October as part of the league’s growing global expansion. In addition to the London series, the NFL has also scheduled international matchups this season in Brazil, Berlin, Dublin, and Madrid, underscoring its commitment to increasing its global footprint.
Further updates on the resumption of ticket sales are expected soon as the league and Ticketmaster work to implement measures to prioritize real fans over automated ticket scalping.
