Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen announced Thursday that quarterback Anthony Richardson won’t participate in the remainder of the team’s offseason program practices, including minicamp next week.
Richardson is expected to return at some point during training camp, but Steichen wouldn’t put a timetable on the passer’s recovery. The Colts don’t expect the injury to require surgery.
Steichen explained Richardson experienced pain in his throwing shoulder after an OTA practice last week. Further evaluation showed he aggravated the AC joint injury that prematurely ended his rookie season in 2023.
