Desire Doue added another huge goal to his fledgling career Saturday as Paris Saint-Germain beat Bayern Munich 2-0 in a hard-fought Club World Cup quarterfinal.
Doue struck a near-post finish from the edge of the area in the 78th minute. Ousmane Dembele strengthened his case to win the Ballon d’Or when he smashed in PSG’s second tally in the 96th minute.
Doue, who is just 20, scored the goal that secured the 2024-25 Ligue 1 title. He also scored twice and assisted once in his side’s 5-0 rout of Inter Milan in the Champions League final in May.
