Manchester United are progressing in the process to hire Michael Carrick as their full-time head coach.
A broad agreement is already in place for Carrick to commit to the permanent role after impressing in a caretaker capacity, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein. United initially proposed a two-year contract with an option for the club to extend for an additional season through June 2029.
Carrick said during Friday’s press conference that he expects his future to be resolved “pretty soon.”
