Cleveland Cavaliers general manager Mike Gansey agreed to become the Philadelphia 76ers’ president of basketball operations, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Gansey replaces Daryl Morey, who was fired after six years with the organization.
Gansey beat out Nick U’Ren of the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury for the 76ers’ top executive opening after each candidate had one last meeting with team ownership, according to Charania.
