United States men’s national team head coach Mauricio Pochettino said Christian Pulisic is “good” despite the forward only doing individual training drills Monday as he recovers from a calf issue.
Pulisic sustained the injury ahead of the USMNT’s dominant 4-1 win over Paraguay in its World Cup opener last week. The AC Milan attacker, who played a part in two U.S. goals in the first 45 minutes of that contest, was substituted at halftime.
He worked on a field separate from the rest of his teammates during Monday’s training session before doing work on a stationary bike, according to Jeff Carlisle of ESPN.
