Former LSU and Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly is in negotiations with CBS Sports to join the network’s college football coverage, a source told The Athletic’s Ralph D. Russo.
Kelly’s full role with CBS Sports remains to be determined, and a deal hasn’t been finalized, per Russo. The 64-year-old previously worked as a studio analyst for CBS Sports Network during its NFL draft coverage.
LSU fired Kelly last October after he guided the program to a 5-3 mark in 2025 and a 34-14 overall record over three-plus seasons.
