Canelo Álvarez will fight WBC super middleweight champion Christian Mbilli in September in Riyadh, according to The Ring’s Mike Coppinger.
Álvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) hasn’t fought since dropping all four of his super middleweight titles (WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO) to Terence Crawford by unanimous decision last September.
The result marked the 35-year-old’s first loss since 2022.
