The Dallas Mavericks are expected to fire general manager Nico Harrison on Tuesday, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania and Tim MacMahon.
Harrison’s departure from the Mavericks had been considered imminent, reports basketball insider Marc Stein.
Harrison is in his fifth season overseeing the Mavericks but has drawn the ire of the fanbase since abruptly trading Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers last season. Though Dallas subsequently won the draft lottery and selected Cooper Flagg first overall, the team is 3-8 to start the new season and sits second-last in the Western Conference.
