Posted on February 21, 2019February 21, 2019 by Tyler Turner

Team Talent Metric based on Recruiting Rankings

  1. Alabama (171)
  2. Ohio State (157)
  3. Georgia (142)
  4. LSU (105)
  5. USC (92)
  6. Florida State (89)
  7. Texas(87)
  8. Clemson (83)
  9. Oklahoma (76)
  10. Texas A&M (63)(11)
  11. Penn State (63)(14)
  12. Notre Dame (62)
  13. Florida (61)
  14. Auburn (57)
  15. Tennessee (56)
  16. Michigan (55)
  17. Miami (52)
  18. Oregon (49)
  19. Stanford (34)
  20. Washington (31)
  21. UCLA (27)
  22. Mississippi State (26)
  23. South Carolina (17)
  24. Ole Miss (14)
  25. Nebraska (12)

The metrics that I used to conclude the talent on the upcoming rosters per the recruiting ranking was the following:

Average recruiting ranking (25 points for #1, 24 points for #2, 23 points for #3, and etc.)+(5 x the amount of 5 stars on roster)+(4 x the amount of top 100 players on roster) and then +/- blue chip (4 or 5 star) transfers

Example:

Alabama( #1 average ranking) 25 points + (12 five stars x 5) 60 points + (22 top 100 players X 4) 88 points – two blue chip transfers= 171 points
