Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott said he was caught off guard by his team’s performance in Sunday’s 42-10 prime-time loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
“I didn’t see it coming. … This might be the most humbling game I’ve ever been a part of,” Prescott said postgame, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.
The game was one of the most anticipated of the 2023 NFL season so far. However, the 49ers dominated from start to finish, outgaining the Cowboys in total yards (421-197) and first downs (25-8). The NFC West club also forced four turnovers, including three Prescott interceptions.
