The Detroit Lions released wide receiver Marvin Jones on Tuesday after he announced he’d be “stepping away from the team to take care of personal family matters.”
Jones was ruled out of the team’s Week 7 game against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday due to personal reasons after being a full participant in practice all week.
“Hard to say on that right now,” head coach Dan Campbell said Monday, according to Jeff Ridson of Lions Wire. “All I can tell you (is) it’s a personal issue. Nothing serious.”
