The Tampa Bay Rays agreed to trade right-hander Tyler Glasnow and outfielder Manuel Margot to the Los Angeles Dodgers for right-hander Ryan Pepiot and outfielder Jonny Deluca, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
The deal is reportedly contingent on Glasnow signing a contract extension with the Dodgers. The pitcher’s extension window opened on Thursday morning, and there’s a strong belief from the parties involved that a deal will get done, sources told Passan.
Los Angeles will also receive $4 million in cash to help cover the cost of Glasnow’s and Margot’s contracts, according to the Tampa Bay Times’ Marc Topkin. Glasnow is owed $25 million in 2024, while Margot is set to earn $10 million.
