The Chicago Bears are expected to retain head coach Matt Eberflus after extensive meetings Monday and Tuesday, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Eberflus is set to work alongside a revamped coaching staff after the Bears dismissed offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and members of his staff on Wednesday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.
Quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko is also among those who were dismissed per Pelissero. Both Getsy and Janocko spent the past two seasons with the Bears, but struggled to establish consistent play from quarterback Justin Fields.
