U.S. consortium The Friedkin Group agreed to buy Everton on Monday, just two months after pulling out of a deal to purchase majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri’s 94% stake.
The deal is expected to cost The Friedkin Group between £400 million and £500 million, according to Sky Sports.
“Blue Heaven Holdings and The Friedkin Group confirm that they have reached (an) agreement over the terms of the sale of Blue Heaven Holdings’ majority stake in Everton Football Club. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval, including from the Premier League, the Football Association, and the Financial Conduct Authority,” read a joint statement.
