Coach Paulo Fonseca was upset after AC Milan missed two penalties that should’ve been taken by the team’s designated penalty taker, Christian Pulisic.
Fiorentina goalkeeper David De Gea saved Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham’s spot-kicks in both halves of Sunday’s 2-1 loss in Florence.
“Our designated penalty taker is Pulisic,” Fonseca said postgame, according to ESPN. “I don’t know why the players changed their minds. I have spoken to them and told them that this can’t happen again.”
