The Dallas Cowboys are elevating veteran running back Dalvin Cook from their practice squad ahead of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, a source told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Cook signed with Dallas in August but has yet to play this season.
The Cowboys have struggled on the ground this season, as they rank dead last in rushing yards (463) and yards per carry (3.5). Rico Dowdle leads the team with 246 rushing yards but has yet to score a touchdown run. Dallas’ running back depth chart also features Ezekiel Elliott and Deuce Vaughn.
