Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew is out for the season after breaking his collarbone against the Denver Broncos, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
Desmond Ridder will likely be the team’s starting quarterback going forward after finishing Sunday’s contest in relief of Minshew, but Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce said postgame that Aidan O’Connell might be activated off injured reserve ahead of Friday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to The Athletic’s Tashan Reed.
O’Connell started one game earlier this year before being placed on IR with a broken thumb suffered in October.
