Pass-rusher Shaquil Barrett is ending his retirement less than six months after stepping away from the NFL, his agents told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Barrett applied for reinstatement, and he’s willing to resume his career with the Miami Dolphins, a source told NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe. The Dolphins own the 32-year-old’s contractual rights after he signed a one-year, $9-million deal with the team in the offseason before quitting.
“It all depends on the Dolphins and what they want to do. … Waiting for them to decide,” Barrett’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said, according to WVSN Talks’ Josh Moser.
