North Carolina is finalizing a deal to hire New England Patriots legend Bill Belichick as its next head coach, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Pete Thamel, and Chris Low.
Belichick spent 24 seasons in New England, winning 266 regular-season games during that stretch. The 72-year-old also secured six Super Bowls with the Patriots and is considered one of the greatest coaches in NFL history.
