The NBA fined Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green $50,000 for “making an inappropriate comment that questions the integrity of game officials,” the league announced Wednesday.
The incident occurred during Golden State’s 102-97 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Saturday’s Game 3 when Green referenced the 5.5 closing spread, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The veteran forward fouled out of the contest but was seen making a hand gesture and seemingly discussing the final betting line while the Warriors trailed by six points with just over 15 seconds remaining.
