The Cleveland Browns announced Monday that they signed quarterback Shedeur Sanders to his rookie contract.
The deal is a standard four-year rookie pact worth $4.6 million, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. The Browns drafted Sanders in the fifth round in April after the 23-year-old, once projected as a potential top pick, slid down the board.
Sanders is one of five signal-callers on Cleveland’s roster, alongside Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel. Watson, the only remaining passer from the Browns’ 2024 campaign, ruptured his Achilles for the second time in three months in January and is set to miss most of the 2025 season.
