The Chicago Bears and general manager Ryan Poles agreed to extend his contract through the 2029 campaign, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The deal means that Poles and new head coach Ben Johnson are both under contract for the next five seasons, Schefter notes.
Poles joined the Bears in 2022 and has transformed their roster in hopes of bringing them back to contention. Chicago’s posted a 15-36 record in that span, during which Poles oversaw the selection of 2024 No. 1 overall pick and top quarterback prospect Caleb Williams.
