Wide receiver Jauan Jennings is asking the San Francisco 49ers for a new contract or a trade, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Jennings is scheduled to earn $7.5 million in the final year of his current deal.
The 28-year-old wideout approached the Niners about his request, but Schefter reports that little progress has been made. Jennings plans to ask for a trade to a team willing to pay him if the two sides are unable to agree to a new deal before the start of the 49ers’ training camp, which begins July 23.
