Veteran guard Malcolm Brogdon announced Wednesday he is retiring from professional basketball.
“I am deeply grateful to have arrived to this point on my own terms and now to be able to reap the benefits of my career with my family and friends,” he said in a statement, courtesy of ESPN’s Shams Charania. “Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to all who have had a place in my journey.”
Brogdon, 32, recently signed a camp deal with the New York Knicks and suited up for the team in preseason. He played nine NBA seasons, during which he represented five different franchises.
