Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is reportedly showing interest in a potential move to the NFL, with his representatives informing league executives that he’s open to head coaching opportunities — notably including the Tennessee Titans.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the news surfaced ahead of Texas’ game against Mississippi State. Sarkisian, who has led the Longhorns since 2021, previously coached in the NFL as the Raiders’ quarterbacks coach (2004) and the Falcons’ offensive coordinator (2017–2018).
Known as one of college football’s top offensive strategists and quarterback developers, Sarkisian’s skill set could attract teams seeking innovation. If he joined the Titans, he’d be working with rookie quarterback Cam Ward, the 2025 No. 1 overall draft pick.
While Tennessee is currently the only open job, other franchises — including the Dolphins, Jets, Giants, and Browns — may have openings by the end of the season, potentially expanding Sarkisian’s options.
