Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter will be placed on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury at practice Thursday, head coach Liam Coen announced Friday.
Coen said Hunter sustained a noncontact injury and may not return this season, according to Mia O’Brien of ESPN Radio.
“We’re still evaluating it,” Coen said when asked if Hunter could return for a playoff push in the season’s final stretch.
Hunter joined the Jaguars as the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after winning the Heisman Trophy at Colorado as college football’s biggest 2-way star. Jacksonville traded up from No. 5 to land him.
