The latest CFP rankings featured a change in the top four Tuesday as Georgia took Alabama’s place in the No. 4 slot, thanks to its 25-point blowout of Texas and the Crimson Tide’s loss to Oklahoma.
The Bulldogs are now in position to receive a first-round bye alongside Ohio State, Indiana, and Texas A&M, which kept its No. 3 seed after putting together a historic comeback against South Carolina.
Texas Tech rounds out the top five following another dominant win in the Big 12, while the Sooners surged to No. 8 on account of their massive victory in Tuscaloosa.
