The Cubs have acquired pitcher Edward Cabrera in a trade with the Marlins that sends top outfield prospect Owen Caissie and two other hitting prospects to Miami, sources told ESPN.
The players were being informed Wednesday afternoon that the teams had completed the deal, sources told ESPN. Bleacher Nation first reported earlier Wednesday that Chicago and Miami were close to a trade involving Cabrera.
