Former Florida quarterback DJ Lagway is transferring to Baylor, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
Lagway entered the portal following the 2025 season after two years in Gainesville. He was a five-star recruit in the 2024 class and the highest-ranked quarterback in ESPN’s 300.
The 20-year-old showed promise as a freshman, completing 115 passes for 1,915 yards and 12 touchdowns. He was named Florida’s starting quarterback in his sophomore season under Billy Napier. However, Lagway’s 2025 season got off to a rocky start after he missed time during spring practices and in training camp due to multiple injuries.
