The Miami Marlins shipped left-hander Ryan Weathers to the New York Yankees for outfield prospects Brendan Jones and Dillon Lewis and infield prospects Dylan Jasso and Juan Matheus, the clubs announced.
New York will head into the 2026 campaign with a projected rotation that features Weathers, Max Fried, Cam Schlittler, Luis Gil, and Will Warren or Ryan Yarbrough. Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodón, and Clarke Schmidt will be sidelined to start the season as the trio recovers from elbow surgeries.
