The Pittsburgh Steelers scheduled an interview with Mike McCarthy for their vacant head coaching job, sources told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
McCarthy spent this past season out of the league after the Dallas Cowboys parted ways with him as their head coach. He led Dallas from 2020 to 2024 and previously guided the Green Bay Packers for 13 years from 2006 to 2018.
The 62-year-old compiled a 49-35 record with Dallas. After going 6-10 in his first season with the team, McCarthy posted a 36-15 record over the next three years. However, Dallas finished 7-10 and missed the playoffs in his final campaign, marking the second time the club failed to reach the postseason under his leadership.
