The Detroit Lions are signing running back Isiah Pacheco, a source told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
The 27-year-old Pacheco joins the Lions after four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Detroit was in the market for a complementary tailback to rising star Jahmyr Gibbs after trading David Montgomery to the Houston Texans last week.
Pacheco, known for his signature running style, rushed for a career-high 935 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023. Injuries limited the Rutgers product’s playing time in the following two seasons. He averaged 3.9 yards per carry in 2025, rushing for 462 yards and one score.
