The Tennessee Titans unveiled a brand new set of uniforms along with a refreshed look to their logo on Thursday.
The redesigned emblem pays homage the club’s “Luv Ya Blue Days” as the Houston Oilers and early seasons in Tennessee after the franchise relocated for the 1997 season. The club ultimately rebranded as the Tennessee Titans in 1999.
“We wanted to come up with something that took the best parts of all of that and bring it together in a way that makes sense,” Titans president and CEO Burke Nihill said, according to team reporter Jim Wyatt. “I feel like we’re building on the legacy of what got us here, and we’re doing it in a way that is going to set the course of this organization for decades to come in a pretty special way.”
