The Carolina Panthers has agreed to terms with free-agent running back AJ Dillon. Per Schultz, the Panthers are expected to sign the 27-year-old rusher to a one-year deal.
Dillon, a third-team All-American and three-time first-team All-ACC member out of Boston College, selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. He’d spend his first four pro campaigns there—running for 2,428 yards and 16 touchdowns on 597 attempts over 60 games.
After missing the entire 2024 season due to a neck injury, Dillon joined the Philadelphia Eagles in the spring of 2025. He went on to appear in seven games for Philly, amassing 60 yards on 12 carries.
