Gary Woodland won the Houston Open in inspiring fashion Sunday.
Woodland, who recently shared his struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder after undergoing brain surgery in 2023, was visibly emotional after sinking the winning putt.
He won the tournament in a decisive manner, beating Nicolai Hojgaard by five strokes.
The victory is Woodland’s first on the PGA TOUR since his lone major title at the 2019 U.S. Open.
